My Expertise

I am well known in the national banking litigation market and act for banks and other lenders, often concerning property with substantial sums at stake.

Read more about me

I act for banks and other financial services sector clients in relation to complex recoveries and possession actions, LPA Receivership, mortgage fraud, professional negligence, subrogation, Land Registry division of the Property Chamber, First-tier Tribunal (previously known as Adjudication) proceedings, invoice discounting and other asset based lending disputes, operational loss, claims against lenders including alleged product mis-selling, and real estate litigation.

I have a reputation for dealing effectively with complex disputes, for identifying and addressing the key issues and for concluding cases to clients' satisfaction. My financial services sector clients also include corporate pension scheme trustees in relation to commercial property and real estate litigation.

Ranked by Chambers UK 2015 as a Band 1 Partner in the English Regions for Banking Litigation, Chambers UK 2015 comments that:

“Head of department Andrew Breckenridge is well respected in the market for being a "very capable and thorough" practitioner with vast experience in banking litigation. He advises a variety of lenders on the full range of financial services disputes, including professional negligence and recovery, and one interviewee hails him as "one of the best lawyers I've come across."

The Legal 500 UK in 2014: “The firm acts for major banks…handling complex recoveries, claims alleging the mis-selling of products and services, and operational loss work. Team head Andrew Breckenridge has a strong reputation.”
