Obtaining a divorce in the UK takes on average between 3- 6 months and our team of divorce experts will be on hand to guide you through the process, every step of the way. In order to start proceedings within the UK you must have established one of 5 reasons:

Adultery;
Unreasonable behaviour;
Desertion – for a period of no less than two (2) years;
You have lived apart for at least two (2) years (by consent);
You have lived apart for at least five (5) years (no consent required).

Adultery and unreasonable behaviour are the only two ‘immediate’ grounds for divorce in England and Wales.

Following which there are four initial stages to obtaining a divorce within the UK.
